Update

I have bronchitis and finally got on some antibiotics yesterday. Harper has a sinus infection, but is doing much better. She is just the sweetest little baby - despite not feeling well, she was still all smiles last night and was cracking us all up! She has learned to say "dada," although we're not really sure if she knows what it means. It's more or less just a new sound she has learned to make and she says it ALL the time! :)

Rylie had a boy call her last night! Mind you, she is just in kindergarten!!! This boy is in her class and also rides the bus with her and lives in our neighborhood. The boy's father actually called the night before to see if it would be okay if Rylie could come over to play one day after school. But then last night the boy called just to talk to Rylie. They were on the phone for a good 10 minutes, which is pretty long for kids that age. I'm not really worried about it being a "boyfriend" situation cuz Rylie has always played with boys. But it's just an early age to be calling your friends, period. I think I would feel this way even if it was a girl calling her just to talk. I'm just not ready for this...

We apparently have a winter storm heading our way. I'm sending Randy to the store tonight so that we don't have to leave the house the rest of the weekend if necessary. Strange how last weekend we were having a picnic in the park and this weekend we are preparing for 10 inches of snow. The midwest is stupid. It looks like a weekend of cleaning, movies, and March Madness at our house.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  1. yeah if you are getting the storm we just got you will need to stock up at least for one day. I think we got around 11 inches but around us was up to 16 inches and it has been so nice too. Two of our major freeways closed yesterday because of the .3 mile visibility and the 33 car crashes on one of them. Well stay warm and it will melt before you know it. I figure the snow is the least of our worries when other places are getting floods and tornados.

  2. Hope you're feeling better Ashley and sorry to hear your little one is sick too!
That's too funny about the boy calling Rylie! It's very cute! They do grow up so fast!
Hope the storm that's coming doesn't hit too bad, but it's better to be prepared! :) Have a great weekend!
